Resolved Can't get finger touch to work

I have a Samsung 500T Tablet, using windows 8.1.

It has a pen that fits in the back. It will only work with the pen, not fingers. The manual says it will work with fingers, but it doesn't.

I see in settings, Touchscreen, "Turn touchscreen devices on/off." I move the circle to the "on" and log off, then when it comes back, it doesn't work with fingers, only the pen. Each time I go back in, that setting is always "off."

Everything shows it's supposed to work with fingers, but I can't. What can I do?

Hi Chris, I've just had a look in the Owners Manual (pdf) and do you have to activate the Touch screen by moving your fingers from the Right side centre of the screen?
Page 45 of the Manual says the Touch Screen will only work with W8 and only for some apps. Neil.

 

When I enable it in settings, I have to, "logout for new settings to take effect." It doesn't take effect.

Have you definitely confirmed with the Seller that it IS a Touch model?
It's very vague the way it's written in the Manual as information is provided for both models. Neil.
