Due to an unidentified problem windows cannot display windows firewall settings.
Spy bot SD found this problem I check my firewall and got the message above.
    Goggled and got this "regsvr32 c:\windows\system32\atl.dll "
    " " " \hnetcfg.dll "
Also got "netsh firewall opmode enable "
Nether gave any results. Any ideas

    Hi Mark,

You're going to have to clarify some :)

Independent of SSD, when you go into the Security Center via the Control Panel, what does it say about the firewall?

Is WF running? One way to find that out is to enable WF's logging. Go into the firewall by Manage Security Settings for:

Advanced tab > Logging > settings > check log dropped packets and next to C:WINDOWS\pfirewall.log click on save as. pfirewall.log opens with notepad.

As far as Spybot is concerned, is this what you're seeing http://www.windowsbbs.com/showthread.php?t=46779

    Regards - Charles

Fire wall is off. Spy bot SD "windows firewall disabled, windows security disabled.
The first two cmd's where successful the 3'd was not recognized.
Run spy bot almost every day so the problem is only 2 or 3 days old.
The only download was from microsoft "JView Profiler security update "
    Mark

    Hi Mark,

    Fire wall is off.
Ok, the immediate priority is to get WF enabled.

Run spy bot almost every day so the problem is only 2 or 3 days old.
Use System Restore to go back prior to the problem. If that works, then you can start again with JView Profiler security update although I can't see why it would've created this problem.

Haven't found any fixes for my fire wall.
Installed Zone Alarm I hear it's a better fire wall.
    Mark.
