I downloaded what I thought was a jpg from kazaa. The file is some type of trojan horse, that got through my virus software. Essentially, it will not let me delete it. I can't get properties of the file. It is like I'm totally locked out. Does anyone have any idea how I wold go about deleting the file?

    Hi Wexie
    Welcome to the boards.
I'd try a virus scanner and trojan scanner first?
Perhaps just use a free online scanner such as:
    Grisoft
    Housecall
    Panda
    Symantec

    And for Trojans.....might I suggest:
    Tauscan

Possibly, you could try to boot to DOS and then delete the file that way. It might think its a system file and wont delte bcause of an access violation. Also, if you can go to this web site, "trendmicro.com ", you can d/l an anti-virus engine and run it. It is very intensive, might take an hour to complete.
