Resolved Can't delete cookies in IE8

    I went into IE8, Tools > Internet Options > General > Delete and in addition to all the reg stuff I checked off Cookies to delete those too, for a change.

    When I later looked at:

    c:\Documents & Settings\{user name}\Cookies

    ...I then saw tons of cookies still sitting there!

    Shouldn't they all be gone?

    I'm using XP-Pro/SP3

    Hi robls99. Yes the cookies should be removed. However sometimes removing Temporary Internet Files using the Delete button in the Internet Option window won't delete everything.

    Try downloading ATF Cleaner, close IE8 and run the program. Select the Cookies option and anything else you want to remove and click the Empty Selected button.

    After thats done are the cookies still present in the folder?

    thanks, I didn't know IE delete wouldn't always remove all.

    I have CCleaner and that took them out.
