Norton found Adware in biO.cab which is in c:\Documents and Settings\Jack\Local Settings\Temp\ but xp only gives "copy" and "extract ". I want to delete. Any help would be vastly appreciated.

You can safely delete the entire contents of any Temp folders on the PC. The only expeption to this would be if you'd done a fresh install of something (anything) that required a reboot to complete and you hadn't rebooted yet.

    Try ....

    Start > Run - type in %temp% > OK

Ctrl + A to select all > delete

If you are advised that a particular file cannot be deleted hold down Ctrl and click on it to deselect.

If this fails to rid you of the *.cab file try deleting in Safe Mode.

If that fails - post back!

PeteC, I had a little Icon shaped like a file cabinet with 3 files inside, 2 of which Norton wanted me to delete. The inner files couldn't be deleted, but the entire directory could. I let the hide go with the hair and got rid of all. The third file had a similar name and was probably related. Thanks for every one helping.
