Trying to clean up a machine and can't delete a *.iso file. Message is "can't delete file, in use by another user or process ". Except, there is no other process running. File has the properties of a WinRAR file.

Thanks in advance for you assistance in deleting this.

If you tried to access/open the file "before" the deletion - that can cause the in use message.

Many times a simple reboot will make it not in use and the deletion will work fine.

The two apps that Pete mention are great if rebooting doesn't help.

Thanks for the info. MoveOnBoot was easy to download and worked first time.
