can't create new account in Netscape 7.2

I have been using Netscape for several years and I am comfortable with it. I am presently using Netscape 7.2 and it works fine. I have 3 email accounts with comcast. I want to add an verizon email account. I can set up the account and receive emails but as soon as I turn off the computer and turn it on later the new account has disappeared along with any changes I have made to my other accounts. Can someone tell me what I am doing wrong. Thanks in advance.

Are you using only one Outgoing Mail (SMTP) server? If you use Comcast as the default Mail Server, then in the Verizon setup use Comcast as the SMTP Server.

Also, when setting up the Verizon account, ensure that this setting points to the correct path:
Edit | Mail & Newsgroups Account Settings | Server Settings
Scroll down to the "Local directory" field and check that it points to the Verizon Mail Account directory.
