    Hello,

I'm trying to help a buddy out with a problem that is beyond my meager abilities.

    Here's the problem:

When he attempts to copy and paste a URL from the "address line" in IE6 to an email he is composing in Netscape mail, it won't work. It just doesn't allow him apparently. He can cut and paste URLs from one email to another.

Is this a case of IE and Netscape not playing nice? Is there a work around short of retyping the URL info?

    All help much appreciated.

    Ken

Once you copy selected material, it goes into the clipboard. At the target space make sure the cursor is where you want it, then eigher right-click and hit paste, or open the edit menu and hit paste. This should work in any application that accepts textual material.

Possible problem: After selecting the url, your friend may be accidentally unselecting it by right mouse clicking in the source area. Try again with care.

You may also paste it into Notepad, then copy and paste it from there. A pain in the keester, yes, but it removes any formatting possibly present when going from IE > Netscape. ;)

    Thanks

    Thanks guys.

That was it. I neglected to mention in the oroginal that my buddy is paralyzed and only has partial use of one-hand. He uses a modified trackball to navigate the screen and didn't realize he was clicking the right button.

I past him this info and he caught himself inadvertently hitting the right mouse key.

    Thanks,
    Ken:)
