    Hi Everyone,

I wonder if anyone else is getting the same problem i'm getting, after opening new windows to in IE6 they stay open, I can minimize each window but they won't close. the only way is to ctrl-alt-del then end task.

please help, if you recommend uninstalling programs/files please take you time in writing a dummy guide for me, I'm still a baby to all this.

    Thank you in advance.

There is spyware out there which can cause the problem you're having. Just download, install, immediately update and then run Spybot and/or AdAware (you can use them both.) Let them clean up any spyware they find.

But I already have both, so if you can think of anything else it could be, give a shout

Tuesdays--Maybe you "have" both AdAware and Spybot, but have you run scans with them? And have you first downloaded/installed their latest reference lists?
If spyware is not the problem, here is another thread with at least two suggestions to solve the problem. See the first posts by Dave (Registry edit) and by Dotti (use Repair IE Tool).

If no success, post back with the version of Windows you are using and perhaps a little more info as to what is happening. Have tried to close these windows by right clicking the buttons on the taskbar (at bottom of screen) and clicking Close?
