My desktop display properties will not allow me to change my background wallpaper. It is muted out. What can I do to fix this problem.

    Welcome to WindowsBBS :)

I have seen this problem due to the computer being infected with malware.

It might be worth having your computer checked by one of the people in the malware part of the forum.

Hi pattis67, Go to Start > Control Panel > Add/Remove > (on left side) Add/Remove Windows Components > Accessories & Utilities > (highlight) . Details > Accessories (highlight) > Details. Is Desktop Wallpaper ticked in box? Worth a try. OK your way out and see if that helps. Neil.:D

Hi Pattis67 glad you got your problem sorted!

Can you please mark the thread as resolved?

To do this at the top of the page just above your first post there is a drop down menu called thread tools.

You then mark the thread as resolved from there.

    Tom :)
