Darndest thing. Happened in IE6, installed IE7 Beta 3, same problem. When online at Tiger Direct site and select merchandise by clicking "Add to Cart ", the next web page that loads says there are no items in my cart.

Also, I have an account there, using correct name and password, can't log on to my account.

Email with 3 different techs there, consensus from them is "your browser problem, not our site." and no further help from them.

I do not have this problem on any other website.

So, I have been buying stuff at NewEgg. But, TD has some specials sometime, and I don't want to do the phone thing. Get much better documentation with online purchases.

Is there a solution to this problem? I tried with Spybot, Windows Defender and Norton disabled, no joy. Also deleted any TD cookies. Nothing seems to help.

Any and all help would be appreciated.

    Take care,

    Martin

Martin - Long time no talk - I'll assume you are doing well and add thats its good to learn catastrophe still lives - that was her name wasn't it?

At first I was going to joke that your computer is doing you a favor keeping you off that Tiger Direct site but thats probably not what you want to hear. If you have NIS installed, thats probably the culprit. Since I don't use it, I couldn't tell you how to fix it other than nosing around and seeing whats blocked. You can also look at your Browser add-ons and see whats enabled and disabled and you can try pasting TigerDirect in your trusted zones sites.

Sorry I can't be of much help but saw your name and couldn't resist saying hello.

    ;)

Hey Rockster, good to hear from an old friend. Hope you are well and happy.

Guess I haven't been around here much, Catastrophy is behaving like a good girl should, of course with a few minor exceptions. I was just about to install Firefox when I got your message. You saved me the trouble. Even though you said you couldn't be a lot of help, You solved the problem.

Checking IE 7's security settings, found all of TigerDirects cookies blocked. Unblocked them, then added their url to my trusted zone, and low and behold, the site now works.:)

I'm not sure I want to leave them in the Trusted Zone, how dangerous could that be?

As always, I appreciate your help, thanks a lot.

    Take care,

    Martin

P.S. Removed them from trusted zone, site continues to work! Must have been the cookie blocking by security in IE.
