    Recently applied SP2 to PC and laptop running W2k and IE6.

    Am now unable to attach files in either Hotmail or Yahoo and can't download attachments. Modem lights indicate data transfer starts but after only a few seconds the connection seems to drop out and eventually I get "page not found ". Have tried two different ISP's - same result.

    All other browsing/downloading seems fine. Would greatly appreciate any suggestions.

    I've searched several sites looking for an answer to your question but have been unable to find one. In the event that no one else has any ideas I thought I might point you to the following link for Hotmail's Support Page, in case you weren't already aware of it. This may be something that they are aware of and if so hopefully they'll have some way to fix it;

    Hope this helps. :)

    Appreciate your efforts Rod.

    I finally threw in the towel and rebuilt the PC from scratch. I've installed Win2K SP1 but deferred installing SP2 and the Security Rollup Patch and so far we've had no repeat of the problem.

    Go figure!
