can't add programs

    I am signed in with administrator's privliges but when I am trying to load a program off a cd, it sits there and does nothing except spin the disk.
    When I add another user, and sign in under that name, also with admininistrator privliges, it then loads the program off the cd just fine.

    Has anyone run into this?

    Sometimes a user account can become corrupt. All sorts of strange things happen (or don't happen) then.

    Try creating yourself another account and see if it works properly. If it does, save your favorites and other personal stuff somewhere, delete your bad account, add another with the same username, and put your personal stuff back in.
