Can't access Zune after updates?

    i recently got some updates and since then i can no longer access Zune, my samsung SCH-i917 (focus) no longer brings up zune so that i can sync/upload from pc to wp7 i tried reinstalling zune but i get a msg stating that zune is up to date but pc cant find the program any suggestions would be greatly appriciated, i tried a system recovery to before the updates were installed and still no joy :(
