Can't Access Windows Update - XP-home

    XP home
    I can access all programs on my HD except windows update, search and help as well as not being able to access hotmail account. All I get is a blank white screen.

    Tried to do system restore and cant find program

    Start > Help and Support > Type System Restore into the Help and Support search box. I'll tell you where it is and info on how to operate it.

    Perhaps something is blocking your Internet access. Check your firewall settings and the dial-up connection, if using.
