cant access ie or firefox unless in safe mode

I recently had some w32 gaobot worm and other trojan viruses. I have since removed a large portion but something is still on my computer. I can only use firefox or ie in safe mode with networking. at times the ie will redirect me. I have been unsuccessful in downloading certain antivirus programs, and my system restore wont work correctly. I have spyware doctor and although it says my computer is clean, i know differently. Please help.
