Can't Access Emails In Inbox [Outlook]

    I have Outlook 2000. Been using it for years with no problem but yesterday, after hitting "Send/Receive" Inbox total indicated I had 40 mails. Right hand panel showed just 23. I was able to open the 23 and file them but I still have 17 showing in left hand panel.

    Today, I followed usual process and received loads more mail. Dealt with it all and still have 17 mystery mails I can't access.

    Any advice welcome.

    Scroll way down the list and see if you can find them...Or click on Edit-> "mark All read "
