We have a simple three system home network, all Win Xp SP# all kept up to date with MS updates. MS Win Network (workgroup) on all 3 machines.

Let's call the machines MOM DAD & PRINT. Printere configuration

MOM - local HP laser 1022, and Samsung color (both USB connect)
    DAD - Brother MCF-7820N USB
    PRINT - HP5P Parallel connect

All 3 machines can 'see' and use the Hp 5P
MOM Can't use the Brother and DAD can't use the Samsung color

From MOM (My network places)/ Entire network/MSWIN network/ workgroup both MOM and DAD are shown
On DAD the Brother and the Samsung color are listed as shared printers/ all show properties of WORKGROUP, nothing shown OFFLINE in the PRinter & Fax group
On MOM Brother is shown as shared yet OFFLINE in the Printer & Faxes list.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Even though the printers are set as shared, they must be installled on each comp. Did to use the Add Printer Wizard on each comp to install all printers?
