I am trying to log into a Red Hat Linux 9 System with my XP system. It shows the Linux Box in "My Network Connections" I double click on it, type in my credentials and it shows the shares that I have defined with samba. When I try to access a share it comes up with a message that I either dont have permission to access that network resource or it is unavailable. Any help would be appriciated. Thanks

check password encryption, if its turned on, turn it off in windows and make sure its disabled in smb.conf. Getting encrypted passwords to work with the two os's can be a real pain in the bottom
