I've installed software for my Canon Lide 50 scanner but when I try to 'Aquire' from scanner I get an error message saying 'Twain Driver not Found'. I've logged on to Canon site which says to install drive from unzipped inf file starting with N or FB on my C drive or from installation CD, neither have the file!

RonBourneuk - welcome to the Board :)

I suggest you uninstall the Canon software and reinstall it and connect up the scanner exactly as outlined in the set up instructions. If I remember correctly the software is installed first and then the scanner is attached allowing XP to load the drivers.

I have the Lide 35 running on my desktop and laptop. Unfortunately, being away from home at the moment I do not have access to the install CD. I agree that the info given on the Canon site is not exactly straightforward.

This is not strictly an XP problem, more hardware and I am moving your thread to that forum.
