Resolved Cannot Update JAVA

When I tried to update JAVA I got an error message "Internal Error 2753 regutils.dll" Oracle says "cause under investigation "
I tried to uninstall and got the same message.
I ran JAVARA and it claimed to have removed all old versions.
I checked ADD/REMOVE PROGRAMS and the old version is still there.
Still cannot update.
Ideas?

 

One of these should uninstall Java.

Use caution when using these removal tools. Once it is deleted its deleted. I use Windows Installer Cleanup Utility. But both are very good tools.

 

Thanks, I used Windows Cleanup and all is well.

 

The SELECT ALL button makes it look dangerous and AVAST says it is too risky to open. I uninstalled it after use and will re-install if needed.
