Message states: Current copy of N/S is currently running. Quit.... but it's NOT running. I'm trying to remove it and re-install. Is there a way I can remove N/S without going through Control Panel?

After posting this message and about 3 tries I finally was able to uninstall N/S 7 through Control Panel.

    Hi Sal_gal,

Message states: Current copy of N/S is currently running. Quit.... but it's NOT running.

Did you Ctrl+Alt+Del and check to see if Netscape was in the tasks list? I have a feeling that's what was going on.

I'm trying to remove it and re-install. Is there a way I can remove N/S without going through Control Panel?

I strongly recommend using Add/Remove, unless you have used a utility to monitor the install, and can delete each and every file, including Registry keys.

When I click the N/S icon it does not open.

If you are using a Theme other than Modern, change back to Modern. Your problem is consistent with the dastardly Theme affliction. See tweetymo's thread.

Let us know if this helps,

    Ramona :D
