    Hello,
I have two good friends, who are brother and sister. The sister uses Outlook Express on a Windows XP Computer and a Laptop. She has xxx.verizon.net as her internet provider. She uses Outlook Express to send and receive her email.

Her brother has a Dell Laptop running Windows Vista and also uses Verizon as his provider. He uses the Web Mail and his address is xxx.yahoo.com,

Here is the problem. The sister can send email to everyone in her address book (and they receive the message) but when she sends to her brother he doesn't get the mail. (I think once or twice he did though.) I did check on the sister's computer that she does not have him blocked. She has no one in her blocked sender's list.

Now her brother uses the web version of yahoo.com. I did check the settings on his computer and he has nothing blocked and I have searched the help and as they said, switch to "Plain Text" but that didn't seem to make any difference. He has no problem with anyone else sending or receiving mail. I also added her email address as a filter but still no luck.

Neither of them have ever received an error message when they try to send to each other.

I just cannot figure out which one of the computers is blocking the email from coming through. It has to be either yahoo or verizon.

Any help you can provide would be much appreciated.

    Thank you.

    Jean

You'll have to check his Yahoo.com account and Spam filter. I don't think it has anything t do with the sending party.

    Hi,
I did check his Yahoo account and spam folder. There is nothing wrong in either place.

    Any other suggestions.

If I'm reading your post correctly, the sister can receive email from the brother but the brother cannot receive email from the sister.

You list the brother's email address as xxx.yahoo.com. An email address would be xxx@yahoo.com.

Have her check her address book and make sure the address she's sending to has an @ in it, not a dot after the brother's username.

Check with your ISP and make sure that the one you can't get isn't blacklisted by them. Seen this happen before. Sometimes they think that it is a spammer.

OK, I'll pass on this information to both of them. Thank you for your help.
