    Hello missblisstx,

I learned something new. I always called these confirmation codes. I didn't realize they were officially called "captchas" until now.

Can you be a more explicit about the problem your having with captchas? Are you sight challenged? Is the problem on all sites or specific ones? Any errors, or are you just having a hard time guessing at what the captcha is?

Boy, "I've been here done that ", referring to guessing what the stupid thing is. Particularly the ones where you only type the figures with certain designated animals embossed on them. Some of these can drive anyone crazy.

Just in case your interested in researching this yourself see below. If not and still wishing for more personalized help or a helping hand on pinning this down, disregard the following:

From the link, kindly provided by Arie, I see that "captcha" is an acronym: "Completely Automated Public Turing test to tell Computers and Humans Apart. "
I call it the "eye test ", which is that very annoying way to place distorted letters and numbers, often overlapping, to prevent automatic entrance in a website. As goddez1 implied, it is the way that these monstrosities are, often presented that is the problem, not the browser. Usually, there is a downright awful audio option for those who can't see clearly. The sound is distorted, and incomprehensible, in too many cases.
