Cannot open OE attachments

    Thanks for looking at this! I have an XP-SP1 machine and OE6. Using OE, I've not been able to open attachments. This unit had to have XP reinstalled recently, and I'm in hopes that I've overlooked a setting or something. Specifically, while using the preview window, clicking the paperclip shows the attachment, but clicking save or open gets no response. Any suggestions?

    In Outlook Express click tools>options and on the security tab, uncheck the line that says "do not allow attachments to be saved.... "

    I do as Zander explains when I want to open or save an attachment but I always recheck when I´m done. You will use a few more mouse clicks but having that box checked is an extra security layer which prevents some malware from self executing.
