Cannot find server on Desktop

Hello,

I've been trying all morning to fix this issue and rather than waste all day today I'm going straight to the experts, you all.

It started a couple of week ago on my Desktop, with the cycling of low, good, excellent wireless connections strength, it would cycle through and drop off repeatedly. Then one day the wireless connection was good, but no matter what I tried I could not connect to the net. I kept getting the "Cannot find server - the page cannot be displayed" screen whenever I tried to use IE or firefox.

So I tried to see if my laptops wireless could connect, and it worked like a charm, no problems and a strong signal all throughout the house.

By process of elimination (wrong in hindsight) I upgraded my wireless to a D-link WDA-1320 card and lo and behold the same thing is still happening. I have an excellent connection but still get the "Cannot find server - the page cannot be displayed" screen.

Do I have something configured wrong? is this a spyware/virus issue?

Help would be greatly appreciated

what do you get?
