When online I might Add a website Favorite for Offline Viewing but once offline I get "the page cannot be displayed" when selected in
Windows\ Offline Web Pages. I have now been trying for over a year, followed all the various instructions including synchronisation but always without success .

    Regards,

Pat Alley--I, too, will be looking for answers to your problem. I have tried for years to make Offline Viewing work, but have always failed. (I confess to not having tried anymore recently. I wasted too much time in the past. :) )
What I do now is to File|Save As a page I want to view offline. I save as a Web Archive (.mht file)--not .html--in the "Save As Type" line.
The only disadvantage is that links on the page will not work while you are offline. (They will work when you are online.) If Offline Viewing worked as advertised, you could also save layers of links, though that creates a very large file.
I assume you have read IE's Help on the subject. And perhaps
