Cannot delete

    Hi all

    I have 2 icons on me desktop that I just cannot delete , they both show as dos programs and if I try to delete them I get a warning saying that they are being used by another person or Program !!!!

    What can I try

    Use Task Manager to close the proccess. Ctrl+Alt+Del.

    I have tried that and ended all but exp and still it wont let me

    I tried that and still no joy with them. I will give the app you mention a try "wish me luck "

    When that happen to me I reinstalled the program then deleted the Icon short cut then remove the program.:)

    If you have been unable to delete them would you post the target for each shortcut (Right click on the icon > Properties). I wonder if they are spyware, etc.

    Hi all

    They have now gone after I used the app Welshjim suggested, Remove on next boot did the job.

    It seems to be something to do with not fully uninstalled programs and windows wanting to keep the short cuts." Possibly to do with windows mapping the unused desktop iconsâ€
