I used to be able to create PDF files with several freebie PDF writers: CutePDF etc.
However, none of them work now. They all produce 2 pages instead of the entire 8. My software, Pagemaker, will print all 8 pages to paper but not to a PDF. I even downloaded a trial copy of ADobe PDF. This didn't print the two but produced an error log.

The techs at CutePDF say that their software would not do that..... but of course, it did.

I know the problem must be system caused because of all doing the same thing but I don't know where to look since the spooler does work on paper print.

I have a feeling the problem is not with the PDF software, but further down the line. Have you tried printing more than two pages of a word processing document?

Me, I would go the Printers folder in Control Panel. Delete all the printers listed there and reinstall it using the Add Printer wizard or rerunning the printer's driver CD.

OK I have determined that the problem is not with the PDF converter but is within the Pagemaker 7 file. There may be an EOF at the end of page 2 that only works on the converter and NOT within PM itself.

I easily converted a MS Word file of 100 pages but the PM file stops after 2 pages.

But how can an EOF work only in a converter and NOT when I read the PM file???

My next test is to remove that page 2 and see if it converts to the end.
