    Hi,

I am experiencing problems using my brother's laptop. It is a Lenovo Thinkpad T61. It used to connect to the internet wirelessly no problem, but it no longer does so. The laptop is running Windows Vista Business SP2.

In the Network diagnostics window it currently tells me that I cannot connect to the primary domain server.

Can anybody help me connect to the internet wirelessly?

    cmd /c ipconfig /all>%temp%\$.$&notepad %temp%\$.$

    cmd /c ping 127.0.0.1>%temp%\$.$&notepad %temp%\$.$

    Yea, makes sense:

    Default Gateway . . . . . . . . . : 192.168.0.1
    DNS Servers . . . . . . . . . . . : 194.168.4.100
    194.168.8.100

Instead of manually configuring the IP settings, why not select Obtain an IP address automatically?

Setting the Preferred DNS server to 192.168.0.1 could also be a solution.

Still no joy I'm afraid. It is telling me that it is failing to authenticate the encryption method and I cannot connect wirelessly.

You didn't say what changes you made.

Well, you'll have to check what encryption method is used by your router and what is supported by the laptop. Looks like you may have to change something.
