I can't connect to suprnova.org and it's driving me insane. I've tried with Firefox and I always get operation timed out. I've tried with Internet Explorer and I get page cannot be displayed. I know it's my computer, because my friends can connect to suprnova. Can someone PLEASE help me? It's really frustrating.

    AimeeMann,

Is this site the only site you are unable to access? If so, then I would suggest that it is a setting you have not enabled. Do you have both Java and JavaScript enabled? The most current Version of the SunJava Plug-in is JRE 1.4.2_06.

If you have the plug-in installed, then go to Start | Settings | Java Plug-in
Click on the "Browser" tab, and enable the browsers that you use. For Firefox enable "Mozilla 1.1 or later ".

Next, click on the "Advanced" tab, and in the drop down menu select:
    JRE 1.4.2_0? in C:\Program Files\Java\j2re1.4.2_0?.

If you are using a Theme other than the default, then revert back to the default theme. Check the Cookie Manager, and ensure that the site is not listed on the "Exceptions" list.

Let us know if any of the above helps.

I don't think thats it because I can view suprnova if I go through http://www.the-cloak.com/Cloaked/
And as far as I know, it's the only web site (of those I visit) that I can't access. It probably has nothing to do with my browser, but I wasn't sure where else to ask about my problem. When I try connecting through IE, I get this weird popup screen saying "connecting through WAN Miniport (PPPOE)" and then I get an error

    Aimee,

I was able to access the site with Firefox, Mozilla, Netscape, and Opera, so I would have to say that the problem is at your end.
