I upgraded to 7.1 this weekend, first removing my previous 7.02 version. I had a little trouble accessing mail at all, but thought that everything was solved.

Now I find that I cannot compose a message or reply to email in my inbox. When I click on Compose or Reply or try to go through the Message drop-down, I get the following:

An error occurred while creating a message compose window. Please try again.

    Any suggestions?

    Hi lee2000,

I would create a new Profile, and see if the problem persists. If this works, then it is a corrupt Profile

If the Mail problem does persist, even with a new Profile, then it is a general Netscape problem.

    Uninstall Netscape, using Add/Remove
    Delete the ~\Program Files\Netscape\Netscape Folder
... (Back up your plugins folder first)
Reboot your PC, then reinstall Netscape

Keep us posted on your progress.

    Ramona :D

Thank you. The profile was apparently corrupt. I lost my address book, bookmarks, and emails in the process (my own stupidity) but everything works now and the address book & bookmarks can be recreated.

    Thanks again!
