I'm am running XP Pro, Outlook Express 6 & IE 7.

I cannot change my FONT SIZE in OE 6---

It all started when I wanted to be able to change the FONT SIZE on my IE 7 webpages. So I went into Tools >Internet Options> Accessibility and CHECKED the box beside-- "Ignore font sizes specified on webpages "

Now whenever I check that box I can change my font sizes on my IE7 webpages but I can no longer change my font sizes in Outlook Express 6 whenever I am creating a new mail or forwarding mail.

    Any suggestions please.

    Paul

Guessing here that 'Ignore font sizes specified on webpages' also applies to OE6 which is closely integrated into IE.

Why do you not use the magnification facility in IE7 to increase the size of the web page you are viewing? - bottom right hand corner - 100% - either click on it which cycles through 125% > 150% > 100% or use the dropdown to select a magnification.

Pete, I've been using that occasionaly--the only part is that when you change pages you have to readjust the setting every time.

Not if you open the page in a new tab?

No good Pete--if I click the current page/tab I'm on to 125% & then open a new tab it goes right back to 100%

Pete< I don't think it's possible for me to have it the way I want to.
    I found this MS bulletin

    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/178895

And if you scroll down the bulletin to the heading STATUS-- it says "This behavior is by design "

I can adjust the size of the font in OE6 when I just open a mail and want to read it--it's when I FORWARD it and want to change FONT sizes I am unable to do with the ACCESSIBILITY Settings checked--if I uncheck the Settings I can change my font size in OE6 but then I can't change the font size in IE7 except if I click on the Zoom button in the lower right hand corner--and I have to do it for every page I open.

Although that KB does not mention IE 6 it would still seem to apply. However I have found you a possible solution - works in IE 8 ......

Set your centre mouse button to Zoom Out - when opening in a new tab the magnification seemed to hold. Can set back to default using the IE zoom button.

Still jumps back to 100% whenever I go to a new tab--and the mouse set like that is realy wild.

I think I'm just going to give up for the time being & just use the Zoom in the corner when I need it.

Thank for all the help Pete--I going to marked this post resolved unless you have anymore ideas.
