I had to re-load Windows XP due to a fault, Repair did not work.
Windows XP is working fine now.

However I cannot access any other programme. Using Windows Explorer I can see the other programmes on my hard drive but cannot get them to run.

Is there any way I can gain access without re-loading all the programmes again?

    miked88 - Welcome to the Board :)
So exactly how did you do that - clearly not a clean install with format as you say Explorer sees the programs.

How many Windows folders have you - should be just one of course.?

Bottom line is you will have to reinstall your programs - on install many program files are installed into various Windows directories and references written to the Registry. Although the files may be there (in Windows) my guess is that the Registry entries are not or are incorrect.
