What other CD burn software (for data & music) do you use? Easy to use?

Roxio Easy Media Creator 7.0.xxx. Released earlier this year, and just had a major (50+ MB) update/bug fix released late april. Superb suite with over 20 audio, video and dvd applications and a packet writing application (drag & drop) that seems stable.
I still like Nero 5.5xx and 6.xx as that suite a a lot smaller, but is also annoying that you have to download 3 different packages to get the whole suite for 6.xx. 5.5 is not much use for video though. At least the InCD packet writing (4.1.xx) has FINALLY become a reasonably stable packet writing app. similar in stability to directCD and in particular its update, drag & drop.

    What is a Multi-session CD?

Maybe I'm not understanding this CD burn thing. I have CDR's and I use XP to copy files from disk to CDR.
    What is a multi-session burn?
and what is a single session burn? Does single session mean 'one time only'?

Here is some info that should answer your question...CD-R Faq . And if you have any other questions about CD-R's this is an excellent resource.

For music CDs, I use iTunes. It'll burn mp3s, wma (non-protected), and m4ps (from iTunes) to CDs. It works really well. Real Player will do .rm and mp3 to CD. Windows Media Player will do .wma and mp3s (maybe, if the drive is supported).

I like MP3Trim for editing. MusicMatch Jukebox for ripping, Nero for burning music...XP's native software is good enough for burning data files. I gave up on Roxio a long time ago. I've heard the software has been fixed, and no longer fights with XP, but I haven't bothered experimenting to find out. Roxio is the easiest to use, IMO, if it doesn't cause BSODs.
