I think the "installshield wizard" may have been deleted from my computer? When I go to "add/remove programs" and try to remove something, the "installshield wizard" window pops up and then nothing? Is there any way I can re-install this program? I am SO NOT computer savy!

It is not a 'program' that you can add to your PC. If the uninstall/repair routine from Add/Remove programs refuses to run, it usually indicates a problem with the installation. Certain InstallShield log files or registry keys may have been deleted, so it will no longer 'know' what to do. Reinstall the program from the original installation source instead.

    Hi shansta,

Arie is right on.In cases like this, you reinstall the program,
    then uninstall.
It may sound strange, but by reinstalling you re-establish the proper information, including the uninstall procedure.
This is cleaner (and easier) than trying to delete the files and associated registry values manually.

A good practice (IMHO) is to keep your program setup files and update them as you do the program.
That way you'll always have a backup.

You may well be right about that.
I can't remember if it is part of the XP install, like the Windows installer is,
anyway,at some point it was installed, either from the XP CD
or through a program that used InstallShield.
Maybe not,but you can learn :)

An overview how to repair the version of InstallShield can be found here:
    http://consumer.installshield.com/kb.asp?id=Q108158

Since this is a .msi file (Windows Installer) make sure you have at least
    v3.1 v2 on your computer.
To find out the version you have, got Start > Run and type in the box
    msiexec.exe. Then click OK.
A small window will appear giving you the version.
If version 3.0 or lower, download from link below.
