I know how to disable IE add-ons by right clicking the IE icon and selecting Start Without Add-ons.

I read that if you close IE and re-open it, the add-ons are automatically re-enabled.

So, can I still use my desktop shortcut icons if, after disabling add-ons, I minimize IE (eg don't close it) and go back to my desktop to use my usual shortcuts to go to other sites - or am I stuck with just using the plain vanilla address bar?

    Never mind.

I see that I can go to my Favorites and click on any of them and the add-ons still stay disabled on the various websites.
