I don't like FF 2 nor does my wife. The browser hangs far more than 1.5 did, we both get pages that don't seem to want to render, it consumes more resources and too many extensions and themes no longer work. So, how do I dump this installation and get back to 1.5 without losing anything? Thanks.

    Hi James

You could go to FF 1.5.0.8. I would do a clean install.

I had some problems with FF2.0 even after a clean install. I fixed the whole thing by making a brand new profile. The problem I was having involved FF not holding my customized toolbar.

As for the resources thing, right now my memory usage is 46 megs and my peak is 49 megs and I have been using FF all morning

I keep everything, doing custom installs, if necessary. So, I can get rid of anything I don't like. And, separate profiles are a must.
However, it is not necessary to do much going back to 1.5.0.8. Just uninstall 2.0, and install 1.5.0.8.
Although clean installs, and backing up of the plugins folder is recommended, I would do nothing special, since the problems with 2.0 are most likely due to the profile.
