Yesterday I tried to load a web radio sw package. It blew away my Netscape 4.7, so I backed it out by deleting all ref to it using (find). Now I can't post to my favorite ng, (rec.antiques.radio+phono). All others I use are ok. I can read the ng, but cannot post messages on it, they just don't show up. I have un and re subscribed to it, no help. Could I have deleted something that only affects this one ng? Thanks, Ken

    Try re-install your Netscape?

    Welcome to the Forum, troubles!

    Hi troubles,

Yep, could be when your SW blew up Netscape, it took some files with it, or your Newsgroup file is corrupt.

Is this Netscape Communicator? If so:

    Close Netscape
    Look in:
    C:\Program Files\Netscape\Users\YourUserName\News

    Find the rec.antiques.radio+phono.snm file
    Delete the file.

Open Communicator and see if you are now able to access your NG.

If not, then I would reinstall Netscape, as suggested by Antony.

    Ramona :D

I dumped the entire news file and restored.
    Works great now. Thanks, Ken
