Can one refill Canon Pixma ink tanks?

    I have an Canon Pixma iP 4200. A couple of the tanks have gone empty. I have heard that they are chipped so one can't refill them. Is this true or can I?

    Canon ink cartridges are not chipped and can be refilled. I have been doing it for years after a few problems finding a supplier of good inks. Google for ink refills, and if you are in the UK I recommend THIS supplier who also has the necessary kits to do the refill.
