Can one force a new prefs.js in 7.0b1? . . .

I've ALMOST figured out how to migrate my existing 7.0 PR1 installation on XP Pro to a fresh hard drive.

Antony's June 22 "Moving Netscape" advice to acelightning works almost completely . . . but even when I edit my prefs.js file, the latest bookmarks are STALE (about a month old), despite my using the same day's salted file from the "old" hard drive.

QUESTION: Can you make Netscape write a current prefs.js file at will?

Editing the current prefs.js was the key to getting all of my mail folders and contents to display properly in the Mail pane, but I'm stumped as to why there isn't a newer prefs.js file!

    Thanks for any ideas,

    SOLVED!!!

I figured it out on my own.

Netscape was placing the updated prefs.js file in its OLD location, the one where W98SE used to put the files. Ever since I upgraded to XP Pro, M$ has been trying to trick Netscape out of functioning.

Thanks to all who wrote me . . . now it's time to resume my workday. Phew!
