Suddenly I am not able to access a certain web site from any machine on my home network with Windows 10 or 7. www.peotoneweather.com 23.229.195.3 Computers not on my network can access the site fine. When I attempt to access the site or ping it times out, I have tried Firefox and I.E. with the same results. I have power cycled the router and restarted my computer with the same result.

    Any help would be appreciated.

On my system it opens in Firefox 58 but when I click for information on the site (the ! next to the address) it is labeled as "not secure". Maybe a "blacklist" in a firewall has been updated to include the site?

Still no access today? I am assuming you are accessing other sites no problem? If so, it is not your Internet "connection" though it could be your provider. So do you have a nearby neighbor who uses the same ISP who can try? Perhaps your ISP or their DNS servers are blocking it for some reason.

The fact none of the computers on your home network can access this site pretty much eliminates your computers.

I see it fine with Pale Moon.

I changed the Lan setting but still no luck. This time out happens on all computers on my home network ,not just one. Also on my smart phone so I am guessing it has something to do with my router, just a guess.

Is your modem integrated with the router?

I would power cycle them all again. If separate modem, unplug, wait 30 - 60 seconds then plug it back in. Wait for lights to settle down, then plug in router and wait for those lights to settle down. Then the computer.

Then I might suggest using trying OpenDNS. Home, non commercial use is totally free. I recommend changing the settings in your router instead of each computer. Instructions can be found on that page.

Or you can use Google Public DNS.

If changing DNS servers, you can always go back to your ISP's - or not.

This is sort of beyond my skill level. With my luck I will mess things up to the point that nothing works. A.T.& T. tech support has admitted that have no clue what to do (level 2P).

Can you open it with it's IP address 23.229.195.3 instead of using it's URL ?

I think you are being too hard on yourself. If you look in that OpenDNS link and click on Home Routers under Choose your device, then find your router or router brand, it walks you through the process.

@ retiredlearner - the thing is, no computer on his network can access that site. It is not limited to just one machine.

Special Case: AT&T U-Verse will not allow changes to router according to OpenDNS.

Sounds like just another reason to buy your own router. Understand, in the U.S. you do NOT have to use ISP provided routers or modems or combination devices such as "residential gateway" devices (totally integrated, all-in-one devices) unless they are totally free of charge - that is, you don't have to buy or rent the devices from them.

You can buy your own - which it typically much less expensive in the long run.

Mine is included in the ATT cost per month, no rental. ATT is a **** ISP, they wanted $15.00 a month to fix the issue I am having with a one year commitment. Time to look for a different provider.
