I think I may have deleted something important, but I am not sure. I wanted to install a trial version of Publisher, but I did not have enough memory/space. I went thru the Add/delete programs and deleted some stuff. Now my printer will not print. The light on the printer blinks, and it picks up the paper, but then I get the blue error screen. Sometimes I get a message that I may have a bad inf file (whatever that is). I downloaded and installed the Win ME driver for the printer, but it still does not work. I was able to print a directory in MS DOS. I don't know if i need to reinstall Win Me. I don't even know how to uninstall it. I am a complete beginner.
I would appreciate any help. Just please remember that I don't really know what I am doing, so the instructions have to be very clear. Thanks guys.

I am afraid I can't provide the full detail.

Windows ME has a feature called System Restore.

If it works (which is not assured) it will bring the settings of your system back to a point where they were automatically saved. If you can select a Restore Point earlier than your big "uninstall ", try it.

To get to System Restore, try pressing the F1 key (Help) and look for it there.

If F1 won't work, click on Start->Run-> type helpctr.exe and click on OK.

I can't be more specific, because I got rid of both System Restore and the Help facility.
