I've successfully added a Win7 to our home XP network and am aware of the Public Folders that are required to hold files that need to be shared.

I am also used to Copy and Paste into the C: directories that I would frequently do between my several XP's.

Question: Is there a way to do copy/paste between XP and Win7 on the network or are you limited to sharing/copying between the Public Folders only?

    TonyT,

Thanks, I'm pretty sure I've seen that before.

The question remains, since the C: directory is not exactly a "folder" can the entire thing be moved into a public folder to be shared?

    You're welcome, Rob.

Did you achieve your desired goals of accessing Windows 7 drive C from XP with read-write permissions?

I'm still having comp problems. I'll have to leave this unresolved until I can solve them or decide to get a new computer.
