.wav files are quite large. Is there a way - a plug in perhaps of using mp3 files in webpages instead of .wav files ?

    thanks

do you mean to automatically play when your site is accessed?? that depends on your webspace provider and on your coding....give us some more info :) is it free hosting?? give us a link to the page you're talking about and i'll have a look at the code

just a standard webpage (provider 50 mb of webspace allowed)
I converted an mp3 file to a wav file and used frontpage as a web creator ( .wav used as background music).
However the .wav file is 11 tiems as large as the mp3 file (40 mb). It is a bit large to upload/play and I thought if it was possible to use the original mp3 file in the webpage rather than the .wav file it would speed things up. ;)
