    Hello all, I'm using Netscape 4.78 for the E-Mail Program. I'm just trying something different then OE 6. Just downloaded it and I want to keep using IE6 but not the mail program (OE6) My first question is when I click a link in Communicator E-mail how can I get IE to open instead of Navigator? I made Communicator my default E-mail. The other question is how come most pictures are now not showing in IE6's browser window when it comes up. No adds or in the BBS Forum, NO Faq, Calander, search, etc. just X's showing in place of picture

    Hi Paul,

    Since you made Communicator your Default Mail Program, you can't open Mail links in Internet Explorer.

    http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;[LN];283807
    Web Page Displays an Image As a Red X or Not at All

    This behavior can occur if one of the following conditions is true:

    * The Show Pictures check box is not selected.
    * You recently installed a graphics program that changed the file associations for .jpg, .gif, and other image file types.

    To resolve this issue, use the appropriate method.
    Clear the "Show Pictures" Check Box

    1. Start Internet Explorer.
    2. On the View menu, point to Encoding, and then click Western European (Windows).
    3. Verify that Show Pictures has not been disabled:
    1. On the Tools menu, click Internet Options.
    2. Click the Advanced tab, and then verify that the Show Pictures check box is selected under Multimedia.
    3. Click OK.

    Make sure that the following file types are associated by default with Microsoft Internet Explorer (Iexplore.exe):

    Open Windows Explorer
    View | Folder Options | File Types
    * ART image (.art)
    * GIF image (.gfa, .gif)
    * JPEG image (.jfif, .jpe, .jpeg, .jpg)

    The MSKB Article refers to explanations on changing File Types for each OS.

    HTH,

    Ramona :D
