I feel this may be a terribly puerile question, but my knowledge of such things is very limited. I've read such good things about the Thunderbird email client, I was considering downloading it. The problem is that I use IE as my browser, and thought I may need to have Foxfire to use it. Are my assumptions accurate? Or can I use thunderbird without installing foxfire? Thanks for reading.

Firefox and Thunderbird are separate, stand alone applications.

You do not need one of them for the other to work.
