Resolved can i undo system restore? with no restore dates

    I ran a system restore that took me all the way back to like new, losing all pics,vids,ect. can I reverse the restore?in restore wizard there are no dates before that time

    Just a note: You most likely didn't not run a Windows XP System Restore, but you ran the OEM System Restore CD, which formatted your PC and reinstalled it as it was when you first received it.

    Probably you didn't see the warnings you'd lose all data.

    Most people here would turn to the #1 software on the link Broni posted above, Recuva

    thanks for the help. But I have moved on. I wish I could have got the pics back at least. I did get some of the music and part of the programs I had loaded. It was a wierd deal. I was only going back to a restore point just hours old, I still am not sure where it went. some data stayed some disappeared, i even got to the files folders once, but when i tried to open it said (access denied) I don't know near as much about all this as I think I do. lol

    well i got my files back, It was an ownership issue so I followed the directions provided by Pete C and it worked out prefectly
