Can 4.7 Messenger import NS 6.2 mail?

If I were to install 4.7, would I be able to import mail from NS 6.2 folders?

The mail folders (the ones with no extensions) are the same format in both programs, and may be directly copied from one mail directory to the other, using Windows Explorer.

Ok, which brings me to the next point. Is a minimalist install possible, i.e. is it possible just to download and install Messenger 4.7? I seem to recall links you posted sometime ago about barebones installation? Or is that my mind going senile

Don't you just wish that Messenger was a separate program, and me too for that matter. Unfortunately, this is not a possibility.

You may be remembering my links to SillyDog701 for the 6.2.2 Versions which are Standalone (NO mail) and the Streamlined: http://sillydog.org/narchive/sd701.html
The streamlined Version has no AOL, no media players, activation, etc.
