    I received a message which included audio as part of the item, not as an attachment, and when I forwarded this, the recipient did not receive the audio part of the mail.

    Would anyone have any idea as to why this should occur.

    The first thing I'd suggest is emailing it to yourself and finding out if the audio is there.

    If it is, it might be that the recipient's email client won't handle embedded audio.
